Why did you become a Knight? I recently became a Knight to see if I could give back some energy and experience now that I have retired and am blessed with some extra time. I had been approached after Mass for many years and thought this would be the right time to join What High School or College did you graduate from? I attended Elyria Catholic High School and played football for four years and was on EC's Charter wrestling team my Junior year and wrestled my Senior year as well. I graduated from Lorain County Community College in Elyria with an Associate in Applied Science in Engineering Graphic Design What is your occupation? I recently retired after 47 years in the construction industry serving as an estimator, project manager, some time as a field superintendent, and Assistant Regional Manager of Shook Construction's Brecksville office. I spent the last 33 years with Shook who is based in Dayton since 1926 and builds Projects in many disciplines. Are you married? if so, what is your wife's name? My wife is Jane. She comes from a family of eight.  We were married in 1975 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Genoa, Ohio. We moved to Sandusky for a brief time and moved to Huron in 1976 where we joined St. Peter's Parish. Do you have children or grandchildren? We have two daughters, Mandi and Missy. Mandi and her husband Matt reside in Strongsville.  Missy and her husband live in Westerville near Columbus with their daughter, and her three brothers. Where did you grow up? I grew up in Amherst, Ohio and attended St. Joseph School for all eight years. I have one brother and four sisters What is your favorite vacation spot? I have been a member of the Sandusky Sailing Club since 1976. I sail an Interlake. I have been competing in Club racing  and regattas as time allows. I have served on the SSC Board in various capacities' I am currently the Assistant Treasurer . What are your hobbies? Jane and I  have had a very productive garden since we moved to our Bogart Road home. We grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, horseradish, and lately zucchini and squash. We make spaghetti sauce for sharing and freezing and salsa in the late summer
